The Rhythm Studio's band sessions are the driving force behind the vibrant atmosphere and great friendships that have developed at our school. These sessions are the ultimate opportunity for 8-17 year-olds to meet like-minded musicians, form bands and play live gigs in London.
Rehearsals
Band sessions involve a weekly 60-minute or 90-minute each week at The Rhythm Studio with one of our inspirational band mentors. Our band tutors are experienced multi-instrumentalists and are there to help guide the bands in their song choices and compositions, and help the band members master their parts.
Live Performance
Performing live is a cornerstone of the entire curriculum at The Rhythm Studio, and a very important part of the Band Sessions, with live shows scheduled for our bands each term. This live performance experience is not only great fun, but also helps to develop confidence and motivation amongst the band members.
Recording
As well as performing live, a termly recording day gives our bands the opportunity to experience laying down tracks in a recording studio, design their band's artwork and logo, and learn how to use the internet to promote their music. It is also a great chance to record original material for entry into our Singles Chart.
Experience Required
All instrumentalists are welcome at our band sessions, but you must have at least a year of experience on your instrument.
