Private guitar lessons for children at The Rhythm Studio are available for kids aged 6-18 yrs (adults guitar lessons). Beginner guitarists focus on the foundations of playing technique, chords and scales, jamming on their favourite songs and much more. Guitar lessons for more experienced players involve specialisation in styles and genres of particular interest, focusing on improving technique to advanced levels, and studying music theory and how it applies to their instrument. Approaches to improvisation, reading, ear training, transcribing as well as studying the fretboard using CAGED, 3-note-per-string or 'drop' systems are also covered by The Rhythm Studio guitar teaching staff.
The Rhythm Studio can also help budding songwriters with analysis of chord progressions, song structure and stylistic traits, and offer help with GCSE, A-Level and BTEC coursework. Our tutors are widely experienced and can tailor guitar lessons to meet all interests. If there is something in particular you would like to study in your lessons just let your teacher know.
At The Rhythm Studio we encourage all our pupils to perform live at much as possible, and there are regular opportunities to do so each term. Ensuring that our pupils learn to work with other musicians explore the styles of music they enjoy is one of the most important parts of our approach to music education. Our weekend Band Sessions, school holiday Rock & Roll Boot Camps, and weekly Composition Classes provide the perfect opportunity for our pupils to do this, while developing song-writing skills and preparing for live performances.
