Learn to play the rhythms that make Cuba the dance capital of the world. Develop the techniques to play traditional Cuban percussion instruments, including congas, bongos, timbales and claves, and learn how they combine in an Afro-Cuban percussion ensemble. Students will also develop their improvisational skills and most importantly have fun in a relaxed but energising Latin percussion workshop. As well as our weekly classes, The Rhythm Studio also organises a regular program of special events, including jam session, performance opportunities and trips to concerts and festivals.
The video below shows Marcos Santana, The Rhythm Studio's percussion tutor, demonstrating a few of the rhythms you will encounter during Latin Percussion classes at The Rhythm Studio.
