Chris took up the drums after a mesmerising trip to Ronnie Scotts at the age of 12.  After five years of drum lessons and playing in school bands, Chris moved to Bristol to join folk-rock band The Red Shift.  Since then Chris has worked with many acclaimed artists and producers, including Teo Miller (Blur, Placebo)  and Jamie Watson (Mogwai, Snow Patrol), and featured on various TV sessions and recordings.

Chris' studies included six years with world-renowned drum educator Bob Armstrong at Masterclass Studios in London.  He also spent a year away from the UK, studying for six months at Hardrum School of Drums and Percussion in Madrid and a further six months at the Bahian Centre of Musical Studies in Saldavor de Bahia in the northeast of Brazil.
