Congratulations to our amazing Sixth Formers who have achieved our best ever results this year! All students achieved at least a Merit grade for their qualification and an incredible 50% of learners were awarded Distinction*, equivalent to 3 x A* grades at A-Level and a spectacular 168 UCAS points!
The Rhythm Studio took to the road yesterday, travelling to the BP Pulse Arena in Birmingham with sixth form band The Bay who warmed up Kylie’s fans before her Tension World Tour show.

Our lucky sixth formers spent an afternoon with Caroline SM of XL Recordings and GRM Daily this week. Caroline described her incredible journey from hip-hop obsessed teenager to A&R manager at the one of the world’s biggest labels. Thank you Caroline for an inspirational workshop and a lesson to us all about the hard graft required to make your way in the music industry.
Lila Piyel is a 14 year old solo artist from London. She began singing at the age of 3 and began songwriting at a young age, counting Feye Webster, Brockhampton, Eloise, Amy Winehouse and Ella Fitzgerald amongst her inspirations. She wrote her debut single 'Purse Full of Gum' this year under the guidance of Maja Slatinšek (Jimmy & Verona). Purse Full Of Gum is out today on The Rhythm Studio Recordings.
The Rhythm Studio Foundation’s school workshops kicked off this month with St Peter’s, Ark Atwood and Bevington primary schools. 120 children are taking part this term in band workshops, music productions sessions and pop choirs. Ark Atwood Year 6 students are getting to grips with our new iPad music technology curriculum.
