The 2024 Summer camp season promises to be louder than ever at The Rhythm Studio, with six weeks of camps at our West London Barons Court studios and two weeks at our East London partner venue, Access Creative College in Whitechapel.
The 2024 Summer camp season promises to be louder than ever at The Rhythm Studio, with six weeks of camps at our West London Barons Court studios and two weeks at our East London partner venue, Access Creative College in Whitechapel. The finale of each camp will see our young bands take to the stage for at iconic London music venues. Alongside our long-standing venue partner Pizza Express Live in Holborn, we’ll be taking our East London boot campers to perform at the Pizza Express Live in Dean Street.
Having run over 125 camps during Rock & Roll Boot Camp’s 15 year history, the courses have now become an institution for London’s up-and-coming young musicians. Notable Rock & Roll Boot Camp alumni include Last Dinner Party drummer Casper Miles, Beabadoobee guitarist Jacob Bugden, BAFTA award winning actor Sebastian Croft, Mathew Cartlidge of The Molotovs and hip-hop artist El Londo.

A surprise visit by legendary singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran!
Ed Sheeran surprises students at The Rhythm Studio!
On Wednesday, we were treated to a surprise visit by legendary singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. Ed spent the morning at the Royal Albert Hall meeting SEND pupils at the Tri-Borough Music Hub’s West London Inclusive Arts Festival. He then popped over to The Rhythm Studio to spend the afternoon meeting students and staff and learn about the work we do to create opportunities in music for young people.
During the visit, Ed discovered the work of The Rhythm Studio Foundation, joining a class with our Year 5 pupils from Addison Primary, who spend Wednesday afternoons producing tracks and forming bands at the studio. Ed then took the time to chat with older students from the Foundation’s scholarship programme and The Rhythm Studio’s sixth form, discovering their experiences, listening to their music and advising them on songwriting skills and future ambitions. The visit came to an incredible finale with Ed taking to the stage to perform two of his biggest hits, Castle On A Hill and Perfect.
