RSF Scholarship offer letter
The RSF scholarship terms & Conditions:
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. Once both you and a parent / guardian have read and understand these terms please tick that you understand and agree to follow these terms wholly:
The scholarship entitles your child to a weekly lesson during term-time at The Rhythm Studio during academic year September 2024–July 2025. A full list of term dates can be found on The Rhythm Studio website. All lessons are strictly non-transferable.
It is understood that the scholarship shall initially be focused on an area agreed with The Rhythm Studio. Any movement to focus on other areas of music and instrumentation shall be subject to the approval of the Foundation.
Your child’s lesson will take place at a regular time as agreed. Should your child be unable to make the regular lesson, the Foundation must be given at least 24 hours’ advance warning, also giving the reason for any absence. Please be aware that any failure to attend without warning could lead to the charity incurring costs.
In the event that the Foundation wishes to put on a charity night, or another event to raise funds or increase the profile of the Foundation, including scholarship network events, it is understood that your child may be expected to attend and/or perform.
In order to safeguard the limited resources of the Foundation, repeated failure to attend or notify the Foundation of absence will result in the scholarship place being withdrawn. Likewise, if the Foundation reasonably believes that the scholarship place is not valued or that your child is not putting in sufficient effort, the Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship. Before making any such decision, the Foundation will discuss the matter with you first. If attendance falls below 90%, we will follow a three-stage process. First: you will receive a reminder of your attendance commitment. Second: you will receive a written warning. Third: your scholarship will be withdrawn.
It is the intention of the Foundation to provide financial support over a 2-3 year period. This will be subject to holders re-auditioning on an annual basis, reports from their teachers, a demonstration of commitment and progress as well as providing evidence of continued financial need. However, the Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship at any time if for unforeseen circumstances, it is unable to deliver the lessons.
Scholarship students must have settled status in the UK, meaning your child is a British Citizen or has been granted leave to enter or remain in the UK for an indefinite period.
