Ciara Chinniah Masterclass
As a part of our series of Masterclasses we recently had the honour of having Ciara Chinniah on site to give a lecture to our Sixth Form Students.
As a part of our series of Masterclasses we recently had the honour of welcoming Ciara Chinniah for a guest session with our Sixth Form students. Ciara is a highly experienced drummer hailing from Essex with an adoration for weird and unconventional time signatures. After finishing her studies at The Academy Of Contemporary Music, Ciara went on to perform in theatre shows as well as in concerts across Europe, The UK and America, before intensive studying at LAMA in Los Angeles.

Ciara has been extremely busy recently, having played the UK Drum show in Liverpool, running two podcasts (Drummer Mamas and Drum Education Live) and hosting drum camps with fellow-drummer Will Daly. Ciara also plays in Electronic Pop duo ‘The Penelopes’ who have been regularly playing in London and Paris. Despite all of this, Ciara still found the time to come and give this masterclass for us and our Sixth Form students - thank you Ciara!

In August 2009 The Rhythm Studio hosted the inaugural Summer Of Drums event, a weekend course that allowed a lucky few the chance to learn from a star-studded cast of professional drummers. One such tutor was Ralph Salmins, famous for his work with artists such as Bjork, Madonna and Van Morission, as well as his playing on blockbuster movie soundtracks including Moulin Rougeand Lord Of The Rings.
